Recognition, both on the local level and the national level, is a significant part of the NMA member experience. NMA's national awards, the Executive of the Year, Hall of Fame, and Member of the Year, are perfect ways for your chapter to recognize the contributions of people in your local community on the national level. In addition, recognition is given for submissions of programs and publication materials that showcase the events and achievements on a chapter level.
Nominations for these awards are submitted to the Recognition Committee where they are scored competitively and selections are made. Due to busy executive schedules that can pose scheduling challenges at the NMA conference, the committee has moved the Hall of Fame, Executive of the Year, and Member of the Year nomination deadline for 2026 to March 31. Submissions for publications and programs now have a deadline of June 30.
To assist chapters in completing these forms, NMA has made these forms electronic and you can access them in the member portal under Resources.
Also to assist chapters to write nominations and tips on what the committee is looking for when scoring nominations, NMA will host a webinar to walk through the process on January 29 from 12-1 PM ET.
