SUMMARY:NMA AI Summer Series - Session 1
DESCRIPTION:Join NMA's Individual Member Leadership Association President David Sandhu for a four-part series centered on AI and tools to transform how you work. The sessions will focus on distinguishing between AI as a search engine vs a strategic partner\, getting better answers with better prompts\, stress testing your ideas before presenting them\, and offloading the work that drains you. Session 1\, the foundational session\, will be 60 minutes followed by three 30-minute sessions spread over 6 weeks. Session 1 - Foundational Session The competitive edge in the AI era is not technical expertise it is the ability to think strategically and use AI as a Thought Partner while you remain the Thought Leader. In this cornerstone session\, we explore why most professionals are using AI at the wrong level and what it actually takes to harness it as a force multiplier for your career. Drawing on Ned Herrmann's Whole Brain Model\, we will show you how AI can flex to meet your unique thinking style whether you are analytical\, structured\, relational\, or strategic by nature. This session sets the foundation for the entire Summer School series. Outcomes By the end of this session\, attendees will be able to:- Articulate the difference between using AI as a search engine versus using it as a strategic Thought Partner - Identify their dominant thinking style and understand how it shapes their relationship with AI - Recognize the "Operational Trap" the cycle where 80% of the workday is reactive and understand how to break out of it - Apply a simple framework for evaluating any task and asking: "How can AI help me do this better?"
