Join us Thursday, December 18 at 2 pm Eastern when Boeing's John Schmidt returns to share "Leadership Lessons from A Christmas Carol." Charles Dickens’ beloved Christmas story is much larger than a tale of ghosts visiting an old miser on Christmas Eve. Though written in 1843, it has profound lessons to teach us about the modern workplace and how to successfully lead teams of today. John M. Schmidt is a 36-year veteran of McDonnell Douglas/Boeing – St Louis. During that time, he has held 21 different positions, including 11 in management. He is married and has two adult daughters, each of whom presented him with a granddaughter last year. He has led both a church and a high school board and has degrees from Iowa State University, the University of Missouri – Rolla and Webster University. He’s an avid baseball fan, experienced thespian, choir member, and distance runner, and enjoys musical theater and cheering on the Cardinals. For the last 6 years, he has been devoted to daily reading on management/leadership topics and publishes a bi-monthly ‘Leadership Musings’ email on issues associated with those readings. He is a cancer survivor, a strong advocate for health screenings, and a zealot for workplace positivity.
